When you have reached the top and something’s still missing, where do you go?

Brian “Head” Welch’s life was spinning out of control. As lead guitarist for the band Korn, people worshipped his music. He made all the money, had all the cars, houses and women he could handle, but still found himself with a crippling addiction to Meth.

“I could not stay sober. I did not know how. I hit rock bottom.”

There’s a point when you finally look in the mirror at an image that you are simply tired of seeing. Brian wanted to quit, but what if quitting required complete surrender?

Feeling unloved by her father and used by a boyfriend, teenager Annie Lobert yearned inside for the power to exact revenge over men. Money to have nice things. To be someone important. It over rode any caution in her life and within a short time she was selling her body, gaining the money she thought was her answer to a better life.

It was a lie. The money instead went to her violent pimp and for many years her world descended into a hell filled with prostitution, cancer, drug addiction and no future. Yet when she cried out to God in her darkest and most dangerous moment, hope arrived to give her a second chance.

Pastor Joe Wood

It is my personal opinion that the average persons perception of church and Jesus are completely skewed because of the lifestyles of those who call themselves Christians (including myself).

It is for that very reason that I do not consider myself a religious person. I actually dislike the effects of religion, but LOVE GOD!

I’m not a Christian, but when I hear people talk about trying to find a “not so traditional church, where they don’t have to always dress up, or go every Sunday” I recommend Reverb, always!
